Don’t forget to count the intangible, un-purchasable things in your life when you’re thinking of your “wins” or the good things in your life—peace of mind, joy, loving relationships, and your level of health.
The best wins are rarely publicized and life these days can cause you to think that being 40 under 40, a self-made millionaire, having a high follower count, or living in a particular a zip code, and the list goes on, is an indicator of “winning” or success.
This is a brief reminder that as you count your blessings today, pursue peace, seek joy, prioritize health, and pour into your close and loving relationships. They are the wins that need not be publicized and they may not be what gets the applause and likes, but they are what shine through in your every day.
A “win” that cost you peace, joy, and/or health is a loss.
Don’t forget to count peace as a win!1
And if you’re sacrificing peace, joy, health, and/or your close relationships for the appearance of success, let this be your invitation to pause and adjust your steps to head back in the direction of the things that matter most in this life.
